How much does it cost to be a Scout?

The yearly registration fee is only $24/year.  The uniform pieces you will need to purchase will cost around $60 or so but will last you for several years if you take care of them.  Other than that the only charges are small fees for food on weekend campouts or summer camp registration fees if you choose to go.

What do I need to buy for the uniform?

You will need a scout uniform shirt (short sleeves suggested) along with the required patches to show you are a member of 383.    All of the materials you will need can be purchased through the Mid Iowa Scout Shop except for the Troop neckerchief and slide which you will purchase from the Troop.
